In early June, the Sophie Barat Centre was delighted to welcome part of the teaching staff from Greenwich. After some time spent in private reflection at Madeleine-Sophie’s birthplace, everyone was able to immerse themselves in the history of the place, soak up its atmosphere and reflect on what the visit had stirred within them.
The morning continued with discussions in small groups: a simple yet meaningful space to share what moved them, what inspired them and what raised questions. Based on these conversations, the participants were invited to write two messages:
- one addressed to the teachers,
- the other intended for the children.
These words, written with sincerity and commitment, bear witness to what the Sacred Heart educational approach can foster: trust, respect, care for each individual, and a desire to educate with heart.
