Events - Maillotines Nights “Joigny in 1925”
Guided tours with a tour guide, actors, and musicians at 9:00 p.m. (Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes).
1925 was a year full of surprises in Joigny! In May, Madeleine-Sophie Barat, born in Joigny in the Saint-Thibault district, daughter of a winegrower/cooper and founder of a congregation dedicated to the education of girls, was canonized.
In October 1925, the “Commune libre de Saint-André” was founded, an association to bring life to this old neighborhood with wine festivals and many other joyful events! Two neighborhoods, two atmospheres, tours and shows narrated by actors, musicians, and a tour guide.
