Testimony of the Weekend “Au fil de Dieu” (On God’s Thread) of March 1-2, 2025

News - Testimony of the Weekend “Au fil de Dieu” (On God’s Thread) of March 1-2, 2025

Joigny weekends are always an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. You learn from the experience of others. Every time, you leave feeling energized and light-hearted.

Embroidery is light and beautiful. Embroidery is magical because the mind is guided by the hand. You settle down. Talk, discuss.

We can see: Claude, Marie-Claude, Annie (former Marmoutier students), Sister Agnieszka.

The Alliance between embroidery and religious reflection is thread! The embroidery thread takes us on a journey of knowledge of God with the heart and under the benevolent eye of Madeleine-Sophie!

The theme of reflection was Pope Francis’ Encyclical “Dilexit Nos”: the divine and human love of the Heart of Christ. This encyclical (letter from the Pope) is a reflection on the spirituality of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a study of the place of the heart in theology, social life and ecology.

And let’s not forget that this year is the centenary of the canonization of Madeleine-Sophie Barat!

Alternating back and forth between embroidery and reflection/discussion allows us to delve deeper.

But the day’s not over yet! In the evening, Marie-Claude and I learned how to use pastels!

It’s hard not to leave with a light heart, full of hope and strength. Thank you Sister Agnieszka, thank you friends!
